As part of the Lo Fi City Recording collective of Cincinnati, Jon Stout began his songwriting career at the tender age of sixteen, gigging suburbia with high school bands. In the years since, he’s become a staple of the greater Cincinnati/NKY music scenes as part of acts Dinosaurs & Thunder, Little Trees, Sleepy Drums and gewgaw.
His work as J. Stout explores his softer, singer-songwriter inclinations, mirroring the raw sentimentalities of such outsider artists as Daniel Johnston, Jeffrey Lewis and Jonathan Richman.
