The initial release of As It May was 2017, as an acoustic solo project called Key with Hunter Swope as the big brain of the project. 2020 Hunter released Slowdance to a rather positive reception.

In 2021, Hunter called upon Justin and Brian’s unique style and perspective to form the three piece we know today. Releasing the It Gets So Dark EP in October of 2022, with updated sounds of released material.
